MARIOTTI LAKE

Mariotti Lake is a gravel pit that was created in the 1970s. The approximately 10 hectare lake is up to 15 meters deep, with an average depth of 11 meters. Sometimes there are plateaus. There are 8 fishing spots around the lake (see chart), which offer every angler plenty of space for fishing. The places are divided into 5 double and 3 single places. Positions 3/7 and 8 are the single places. Two anglers are also happy to book spots 7 and 8 and are thus alone in the small part of Mariotti Lake. These two positions can only be booked together. There are no jetties or huts at the fishing spots. You can fish with bivvy at all places, with the camper van, mobile home or caravan, except at place 3, where only tent fishing is possible. However, the car is always on the spot or in the immediate vicinity. The fishing spots are very well prepared and always clean. The water of Mariotti Lake is very clear. In some places you can find herbs on the bank during the warmer months. The lake is left "wild", so there are also trees or branches in the water in some places. The current fish population comprises around 800 carp of which around 200 fish weigh between 15 and 25 kg. The sea record in 2019 is 25 kg. In the lake there is also natural food such as snails and mussels, which makes the carp grow very well. In addition to mirror and scale carp, you can also catch Amur and koi carp. Toilets and showers are located in the main building behind space 2. These are accessible 24 hours a day. There is even an outside shower available for the summer months. The entire area is fenced. At the lake there are also bicycles that can be used free of charge.
